The IT Capital Planning Committee (ITCPC) has developed a standard scoring rubric that is applied to proposed projects. This scoring rubric along with the broad expertise and experience of the committee members are used to prioritize investments.
The scoring rubric considers:
- Advancement of the UBC Strategic Plan
To what extent does the project advance specific strategies within the four core areas of the UBC Strategic Plan? How impactful and wide-reaching are the benefits? - Risk reduction
What are the risks the project is looking to address or may occur if the project does not go ahead? What is the severity, who might it affect, and what is the likelihood of it occurring?
