Enterprise Data Governance Team

The Enterprise Data Governance Team defines Data Governance and data management goals and priorities. The team is responsible for architecting the University Data Model, defining data, and developing data collection standards through consultation with data domain subject matter experts, Data Stewards, and the UBC community to achieve the program's vision of delivering high quality and accessible data, delivered by integrated data management and principled governance.

Chief Data Officer

The role of the Chief Data Officer is to help bridge the gap between technology and business by establishing a data strategy, and oversight of data usage in reporting and analytics.

Program Manager

The Program Manager is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the University's data management goals, standards, practices, and processes.

Enterprise Data Architects

Enterprise Data Architects develop a common business vocabulary, data models, and express strategic data requirements in alignment with the University's strategy.

Senior Business Analysts

Senior Business Analysts act as the interface between the technical and the business side. They work with stakeholders to develop data standards, data definitions, processes, and are responsible for communicating data strategies.

Enterprise Data & Reporting Team

The Enterprise Data & Reporting Team is your internal strategic team of experts with a specific focus on facilitating, coordinating knowledge, processes, leading practices and promoting the use of data to achieve business objectives across UBC. This includes the development of repository tools, standards and guidelines that leverage leading practices for reporting, and collaboration with business units to develop new data insights, driving consensus and content for Report Governance, and fostering partnerships across UBC to increase awareness and adoption of Data Governance.

Enterprise Data & Reporting Manager

The Manager guides the development and capabilities of enterprise data platforms and reporting services to facilitate access to secure and accurate data. This is executed in alignment with faculty and business needs, as well as the University's governance requirements.

Senior Programmer Analysts

Senior Programmer Analysts provide data expertise through consultations, projects, and requests for various types of reports. They discuss forecasted data requirements and contribute technical advice and guidance for projects, creating complex views in dashboards and reports.

Programmer Analyst II

Programmer Analysts provide data expertise to support business' data needs, through consultations and requests for various types of reports. They generally specialize in one data domain, and contribute technical advice and guidance for projects.

Senior Systems Administrators

Senior Systems Administrators manage and maintain the tools used in Data Governance and Reporting, as well as the integrations between data sources and business applications.
